TEACHLGBTNY is a statewide initiative of the LGBT Network. This initiative is in support of paving the way to pass A4744/S1478, which was originally introduced in May of 2018. Teach LGBT NY will shine the light on LGBT heroes who helped our society progress, but who have been ignored by the history books because of their sexual orientation and gender identity. This initiative is to show LGBT students all across New York State that there are other people just like them that can serve as LGBT role models for their future and propel them into leadership roles contributing to society.
